10 Hot Twitter’s Trending Topics in Nigeria: June (11- 18) 2011

Twitter continues to be everyone’s favourite information platform as there are always top trends one can rely on for breaking news occasionally.

This week saw various happening in town ranging from demise of GTbank ex-boss to Abuja Bomblast.

It can be deduced that a lot of Nigerian youth with high disposable income are tweeting from their smartphones as fun topic seems to be the highest trending topic. There were quite a few surprises such modeninesays, MBGN, Weza (Contestant in BBA), Eme (Banky W Record label), Nitel, etc

It’s interesting to see that as at the time of writing, Father’s Day, #nigerianpetnames, are trending. It will be interesting to see if the intensity these fun topics from Nigerian youths continue over into next week’s chart to prove my hypothesis.
